you'll need:

1/4 cup instant polenta iHerb
1/4 cup dehydrated beef mince
1 tablespoon tomato sauce powder
1/2 vegetable bouillon cube iHerb
1 teaspoon roast beef gravy mix
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning iHerb
2 tablespoons freeze-dried grated Parmesan cheese

at home:

Combine instant polenta, dehydrated beef mince, tomato sauce powder, crumbled bouillon cube, dried gravy mix and Italian seasoning in a medium-sized zip-lock bag.
Pack the cheese separately.

on the trail:

Pour Sausage Polenta mixture into a pot.
Cover with 1 cup water. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously.
Remove from the heat, stir in Parmesan cheese.
Cover, and let stand for another 5-10 minutes to rehydrate meal completely

 

notes:

For lactose-free version, omit Parmesan cheese
