Jerky Ramen

Jerky and ramen are two most loved foods among outdoor enthusiasts. They are lightweight, high in calories and nutrient-rich. By combining both ingredients together we can get a quick and super-easy to cook, delicious and well-balanced backpacking meal.
For best result choose high-quality beef jerky, preferably organic, with no harmful additives and less salt as possible.

you'll need:

1 packet dashi powder (5g) or 1 teaspoon vegetable bouillon powder
1/4 cup dehydrated frozen vegetable mix
1 block ramen noodles (about 50g / 1.7oz)
1 pack beef jerky (25g / 0.88oz)

Pour dashi powder and dehydrated vegetables into a pot; add 1 and 1/2 cup water and stir well.
Place pot over medium heat and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.
Add ramen and jerky; cook for 3-4 minutes, until noodles are cooked through.

notes:

For gluten-free version use buckwheat soba noodles instead of ramen.
