you'll need:

2 tablespoons dehydrated pickled beetroots (shredded)
2 tablespoons dehydrated canned beef (or dehydrated)
1 tablespoon beetroot powder (preferably organic)
1 tablespoon instant mashed potatoes
1 teaspoon onion powder iHerb
1/4 vegetable bouillon cube
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste

at home:

Mix all the ingredients in a  zip lock bag.

on the trail:

Pour Hot Borscht mixture into the pot; add 1 cup water and stir well.
Place pot over medium heat and bring to a boil.
Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat, cover, and let stand another 5 minutes to rehydrate meal completely.
