Crackers with hummus is a great snack or lunch idea while on the trail. They are lightweight, tasty and require no cooking.

you'll need:

2 tablespoons instant hummus mix
1 packet olive oil
6 low carb crackers

at home:

Put instant hummus mix into a medium-sized zip-lock bag.
Pack other ingredients separately.

on the trail:

Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of cold water and 1 packet of xtra virgin olive oil into the bag with the powdered hummus. Close the bag and squeeze/knead it in your hands until well combined. Enjoy with crackers.
