I wonder if an avocado could be used instead of a banana? Get the carbs down. Or use flax seed meal to get it to thicken? Great idea!
Unfortunately, avocado is not the best fruit to dehydrate. It contains a lot of fat.Flax seed meal ar ok for thickening.
I’ve been trying to figure out a way to take my smoothies with me into the backcountry, and this recipe looks like just what I need. I’m wondering whether I could include some greens as well in the blend (baby spinach or baby kale). Might try it and report back.
