I’m not to bright but am very interested in making this recipie as a large camp stew but would need to feed at least 4. How can I make this larger?
Just multiply all the ingredients except salt and pepper
If this is put in Mylar bags with oxygen absorber how long would it keep?
I would like to make this at home and dehydrate the whole meal, would you recommend this?
Yep! It’s also a good idea to save your leftovers. But if you want to prolong shelve life, try to avoid adding oil or any other fat during the cooking.Dry your food properly and than pack to vacuum-sealed or zip-lock bags.
Would it be possible to replace ground beef with something else? If so, do you have any suggestions? Thank you
Yes! If youare vegetarian, you can replace beef with TVP (texturized vegetable protein)
Question: in the recipe, is the 1/3 cup dehydrated cooked barley measured before dehydrating or after?
By dehydrated cooked barley I meant already dried grains.
