3 Cheese Mashed Potatoes with Kabanos

you'll need:

1/2 cup instant mashed potatoes
1 tablespoon freeze-dried Cheddar cheese, powdered
1 tablespoon freeze-dried grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon freeze-dried Mozarella cheese, powdered
1 tablespoon freeze-dried caramelised red onion (optional)
4 shelf-stable Kabanos sausages (about 50g/1.76oz)

at home:

Mix instant mashed potatoes, cheese powders and dried caramelized onions in a medium-sized zip lock freezer bag.
Pack sausages separately.

on the trail:

Bring to a boil 2/3 cup of water in a pot.
Carefully pour hot water into the bag with dried ingredients. Mix well.
Stir in sliced Kabanos and enjoy!

    Any way to substitute the freeze-dried parmesan and mozzarella as they are pretty expensive to get whole things of to use a couple tablespoons?

      Hi Alex! Sure, you can pack regular grated Parmesan (not Mozarella) into zip-lock or vacuum-sealed bag
