sea to summit kitchen sink review

Sea To Summit 10L Kitchen Sink is an excellent choice for a multi-day hiking or camping trips. You can use this folding, self-supporting and waterproof container not just for washing dishes. It is great for carrying water from the source to camp, personal bathing or washing clothes.  Once you try it, you’ll never leave it at home.

The basin is a convenient and environmentally friendly product helping to protect aquatic life from detergents and food scraps pollution.

We bought Sea To Summit 10 Liter Kitchen Sink for our family hike in Iceland two years ago and since that we have been tested it in several extended backpacking trips.

Field Data:

The Kitchen Sink has been used in various trails as Laugavegur Trail (Iceland)Kungsleden Trail (Sweden)Skye Trail (Scotland) and in different temps (-5C to +30C) and elevations. It still looks good and doesn’t leak.

I’ve seen several reviews where people said what sink is unstable. When full, however, it really keeps its shape. Just make sure you get enough water in it.

It’s a fantastic product. It’s true that it needs a good bit of water to firm up, but there in lies the answer.

Don’t buy a 10l sink if you need a 5l sink. If so, they also have a 5l one.

It really is excellent for washing clothes, dishes and yourself. I’m not sure that all three can be done in the same sink- perhaps two 5ls would be best.

Not useless but pretty close. The sink only works when fully filled. Otherwise the sides collapse and water is lost. How often do you only use a full sink, not after carrying water to the campsite and not after washing something (you or dishes). Limited use, extra weight and space eater.
