Skye Trail Journal 2015, day 9
Day 9
3nd May, Saturday
Loch Coruisk – Camasunary Bay – Elgol
Distance: 18km
Well, that was a wild night. Not a lot of sleep due to the heavy rain and gale-force winds. It was a serious test for both our tent and our nerves.
Due to weather conditions we skipped our plan to go to Camasunary via the Bad Step and took a decision to take same way up towards Sligachan and then turn right to the path to Elgol. The path was extremely boggy and slippery.

When we came over the brow of the hill to Camasunary, we could see a couple of buildings in the distance.

Soon we came to the small village of Elgol. There were no B&B or campsites, but we found a small cafe at the top and public toilets and set up camp nearby.
The shop was closed, and we rewarded ourselves with Beef & Mushroom Stroganoff and Trail Tiramisu for dessert.
