Skye Trail Journal 2015, day 8
Day 8
Date: 2nd May, Saturday
Route: Glen Sligachan – Loch Coruisk
Distance: 12km
Our route today was to head down Glen Sligachan, then go right and over to Loch Coruisk, where we planned to stay overnight.
We started our walk along the River Sligachan with the dark rock of the Black Cullin on our right.
We walked for approximately two miles until we came to a junction with another track. We followed the one to our right that headed in a southerly direction.
After a short climb, we were rewarded with our first view of Loch Coruisk.
We found a path and started our way down to Coruisk. It was a long hard walk that required a lot of energy and good boots.
Finally, we set up camp and headed into the tent and our sleeping bags. It wasn’t long before the weather hit us hard…
